This past year KNOCKOUT was able to participate in the 5th annual Stockings for Veterans in honor of the Mitchell Family and all those who have served.
Grant & CeCe Mitchell were Veterans in the U.S. Army and after their service started their lives together raising their family. However, Grant didn't forget about those in need and those who fought for our freedom and would create and donate stockings to the local V.A. Home during the holiday season. Since there passing a several years ago, their family has kept the tradition alive. We were able to help by purchasing items for the stockings, as well as stuff and deliver them to the V.A. Home. We hope to do it next year and many years to come. If you are interested in helping with this tradition, you can by purchasing a soldier ornament for $1 here: https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/522038508405607/

We are always looking for ways to help others and to give back to our community. At the beginning of the year, our little family had the opportunity to make and serve lunch at the Ronald McDonald House in Salt Lake City, UT. We Decided to make Hot Dogs for lunch, with potato salad, macaroni salad and potato chips with cola for a drink. It was a pretty easy meal to make for 35 - 55 people.
It was an enjoyable and humbling experience. To put ourselves in others shoes for a day and feel the stress of having to leave home, sometimes hundreds, even thousands of miles away to help take care of a child at Primary Children's Hospital, worrying about bills, schedules and your families well being and not knowing how you are going to do it all, let alone find the time to make a meal for yourself, is eyeopening. We encourage everyone to find ways to give back, to make a difference in someones life. One of the reasons we started KNOCKOUT Pest Solutions was because we saw ways in which we can do it better and more ways to help that other companies don't offer. We are here to serve our community in any way we can. If you are in the position and want to give back, you can also adopt a meal by visiting : https://www.rmhcslc.org/get-involved/adopt-a-meal/ Together we can make a difference. |
